Solar System

Introduction of the Solar System

Principles of Photovoltaic Power Generation

Solar cell is made of the semiconductor manufacturing process. Under direct exposure of sunlight, solar cell absorbs the photon energy of the sunlight and converts it to electrical energy. This energy conversation takes place at the interface of the p-type and n-type semiconductor, where the photon energy is transformed into a pair of free electron (negative) and hole (positive). Through the voltage difference between the p-n semiconductor material, electron and holes are separated and transferred to the load via a conductive medium.

Components of Solar Power Generation System

A photovoltaic system is a system which uses solar cells to convert light into electricity. A photovoltaic system consists of multiple components, including solar cells, electrical connections (DC and AC panels), mechanical mountings (supporting frames) and means of regulating and modifying the electrical output (inverters).
